Why Kinesiology?

Why?

Being unwell can be not only costly and painful but also very confusing. The time in our lives is precious, so when you are unwell, to save you time and further suffering, instead of paying someone for their best-educated guess, you are better off visiting someone who knows how to help you find exactly what need to be well again. The answers to that question are held within you, within your body.

The person trained to help you access those answers is called a Kinesiologist.

To stop wasting time and money guessing.

To consult the body directly & get your answers.

To get well faster and with less pain,

by working with your body, not against it.

How?

The body is a biological computer made up of trillions of cells with their own intelligence, their own consciousness, who work 24/7 to maintain your health.

Kinesiology is a way of testing the whole body: muscles, nerves, organs, cells and even energy systems; to reveal what is stressing you and what body system these stresses are affecting.

The Kinesiology process is then used to reveal what an individual needs to negate or balance out their stresses.

Kinesiology Restores Balance, which Restores Function, and consequently Restores Health.

Please Note: Side effects of Kinesiology include Health, Happiness & Inner Peace.

Why Is Kinesiology So Incredibly Effective?

Kinesiology is incredibly effective due to its holistic view of a person; a view which propelled us to blend and use both Western Medical anatomy and Eastern Traditional Chinese medicine as well as other forms of medicine man has discovered, into one therapy.

Think of your organs, and the lines of energy (known as Meridians) that run through them - they also run through your muscles, bones and all of your body. These are, of course, linked together in our body, and they LINK all parts of you to each other! So the issue in an organ may be balanced or corrected by acupressure or another correction, on your arm or leg, for example.

In fact, Kinesiology was shown in clinical studies by Dr Susan Eardley, published in a peer reviewed scientific & medical journal, to be the most effective therapy for back pain (Eardley S, Brien S, Little P, Prescott P, Lewith G: Professional Kinesiology Practice (PKP) for chronic low back pain: single blind, randomised controlled pilot study. Forsch Komplementmed 2013. DOI: 10.1159/000346291).

All parts of our bodies, muscles, organs, and glands are connected via a network of energy circuits and meridians. By testing muscles strength, a practitioner can evaluate the energy in the meridians and thus in the organs. For example, the pectoral muscle is linked to the stomach meridian. If the pectoral muscle is tested and found to be weak, this usually indicates an energy imbalance in the stomach circuit. A muscle’s energy circuit can be blocked and switched off by injury, illness mental or emotional challenges, food sensitivities and a wide range of other issues.

Each muscle correlates to a different circuit in the body. Kinesiology accesses information about the different circuits by testing the various muscles; and Kinesiologists can then use a range of gentle but powerful remedies such as touching acupuncture points to free blocked energy and nervous system electricity, restoring balance and harmony.

Kinesiology (pronounced as kin-easy-ology) uses simple, gentle muscle tests to analyze functional imbalances in the body as well as sensitivities to food and toxic substances in the environment. Through a series of muscle-resistance tests, kinesiologists can identify accurately any weaknesses in the body’s system, as well as the correction required to restore balance, function and health.

Being asked to resist pressure exerted on a muscle by a complementary health practitioner may seem a strange way to get to the root of an illness. But this is the tool used to link all parts of you, to access the causes of your imbalances, illnesses and pain; as well as your body's preferred tool to relieve all types of aches and pains, stress, digestive problems and emotional troubles such as phobias, anxiety and depression.

Kinesiologists look at you as a Whole Being, and they approach your health from the three viewpoints – biochemical, structural and mental/emotional – each of which interacts with the other, and which together represents a whole, referred to as the triad of health.

For someone to be 100 percent healthy, all three systems need to function well and in harmony. This interconnection can make findings the right treatment difficult, yet it is when the body is consulted through the muscle monitoring process, that the blockages and corrective measures are easily and instantly identified.

For example, the obvious treatment for backache may be manipulation or painkillers, but if that person also has a poor diet and an unhappy love life, manipulation won’t necessarily result in a lasting cure. And this is where kinesiology comes into its own. Muscle testing enables the practitioner to find out which of the three systems is out of balance and to correct it accordingly. Why not try a session for yourself and see the benefits?

The Origins of Kinesiology.

The origins of Kinesiology were discovered by an American chiropractor, Dr George Goodheart, in the 1960’s. He was treating a patient who did not respond to the chiropractic corrections, and his shoulder blade kept popping out. After much research consulting therapists of a number of other modalities, leaders in the fields of human movement, and along with the help of a Traditional Chinese Medicine Doctor, he found that if he pressed certain acupuncture points on a muscle where it was attached to the ribcage, the muscle became stronger. Goodheart developed a series of muscle tests, and so the basic principles of kinesiology evolved. Dr John Diamond then developed Touch for Health for the public to learn muscle monitoring. Since that time the entire field of Kinesiology has fully evolved.
